The MSA National Asphalt Rally Championship 2009 calendar takes in closed-road events in Scotland, the Isle of Man and both Northern & Southern Ireland, plus visits to both the Epynt and Otterburn Military Ranges - a varied, but challenging, selection of rallies from which the eventual winners will be justifiably proud of their achievements.

The Fiesta Sporting Trophy (UK) championship is designed for both young ambitious drivers and more experienced crews who want to compete with a package of equal competition at a professional level with low costs.

It is potentially the most exciting and challenging way to enter national rallying and experience the sport. Some of the best young drivers in the country have developed their skills in the FST over the past two years.

Offering every competitor a great opportunity to enjoy close competition in a well-supported environment, the championship will help the most talented and deserving drivers to the highest levels of performance and give them the first step on their way to a professional rally career.

The 205 Cup is designed to be a cost-effective method of climbing the rallying ladder and will test real driver ability, not only the driving but all other key issues of becoming a Professional Rally Driver such as PR skills and sponsorship development. The 205 Cup also provides opportunities to be trained by some of the most experienced and best qualified experts in the business. The series has links through Cup Organiser Kevin Furber (Former Peugeot Works Driver) with 1997 & 2005 British Rally Champion Mark Higgins and 2002 & 2003 British Rally Champion Johnny Milner. Surrounded by such pedigree the AB Stars can see exactly what is required of them to become the best.

It is very important to remember that 2001 British World Champion Richard Burns and 1995 British World Champion Colin McRae who became globally-renowned sporting personalities. Both began their careers driving Peugeot Talbot cars and their talents were first proven when winning in Peugeot 205's.

Will one of the AB Stars Rally Team be the next World Champion starting out in a 205?

The Peugeot 205 Cup Cars are based on the highly renowned and loved Peugeot 205 GTi. The 20 cars have been substantially modified to the exact same spec give maximum performance for the forest. With a modified engine producing 150BHP, loud as allowed exhaust, rally close ratio gearbox including special rally limited slip differential, competition safety equipment like seats, harnesses and a substantial roll-cage for the inevitable.

The car provides the perfect artillery for the crews to battle it out to test who has what it takes to be a true champion.
